Windsurfing: Felixstowe dip Wind Direction: easterly Wind Stength: 18-21 kts Surf / Sea State: medium size waves Air Temperature: 17c warm sunny Sea Temperature: warm Weather: sunny and warm Max Speed: 25.9 kts (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 16.1 nm (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Great sail today wind F4-5 (18-20kts) Easterly with decent size waves, nice
and warm / sunny. Several out most on 7.0M ish, on 100-130L Freerides.
Bought a 2012 7.8 North Natural on Ebay last year but never used it till
today. Didn't fancy my 7.7 twin cam H2 slalom sails in the big lumps for
waterstarts so hoped the rotational sail would work on a Pryde mast! Rigged
great on X6 -460M with 146 Pro ed Excite ride and great for blasting
reaching from Golf end in the kits zone all the way down to near the
Fludyers point. Its not the fastest sail I have used (probably need a North
mast - but its easy, user friendly and light in hand – another nice Ebay
purchase
The sea was nice as you could run up/down the onshore waves right thru the
middle riding high and low - fantastic on a freeride board.
Packed up just after 4 as the tide was now well in running to the point,
and didn't want to do the walk of shame. Top sail today for me, but
waveheads Paul and Strawberry decline the sailing as not enough wind.
Warmed up nicely for Sunday and having dropped just 3 gybes well happy the
long layoff (no wind) didn’t affect me much.
